THE Myanmar National League has announced the first-round fixture schedule for the 2026-27 Myanmar National League season, with matches set to run from 28 August to 21 December 2026.
Seven of the 12 participating clubs will host home matches during the first round. However, Yadanabon will not be able to play home matches in the first round and will host games only from the second round. Shan United, Yangon United, ISPE FC, Ayeyawady United, Hanthawady United and Yangon City will host their respective home fixtures, while the remaining matches will be played on a rotating basis at stadiums in Yangon. The schedule was drawn up taking into account Myanmar national team international windows and clubs’ participation in international competitions.
The opening round will be played from 28 to 30 August. Defending champions Shan United will face newly promoted Yangon City, who have made extensive preparations for the new season. On 28 August, Chinland will meet Yadanabon at YUSC Stadium, while Thitsa Arman will face Myawady at Thihadipa Stadium.
On 29 August, Dagon Star United will play Hanthawady United at Thihadipa Stadium, while Ayeyawady United will take on Sports and Physical Education Institute at Pathein Kyauktaing Stadium. On 30 August, Yangon United will face Sagaing United at YUSC Stadium, while Yangon City will meet Shan United at Padetha Stadium. — Shine Htet Zaw/KZL
