The Third Mon State Hluttaw held its first regular session on 20 March, attended by state representatives and officials. U Aung Kyi Thein from the Chaungzon Constituency 1 was elected chairman, took the affirmations, and opened the session.
For Speaker and Deputy Speaker elections, U Thet Htwe from the Mawlamyine Constituency 2 was elected Speaker, and U Min Aung Myint from the Ye Constituency 2 was elected Deputy Speaker. Both made affirmations in the presence of the chairman, who then formally handed over duties to the Speaker.
The session concluded with the announcement of the next day’s meeting schedule.
