THE Intellectual Property Department will conduct the Basic Patent Agent Training Online Course 1/2026 in November. The course is designed for those who wish to serve as registered patent agents. The course will run virtually (Zoom) from 10 am to 3:45 pm from 3 to 11 November, excluding public holidays at the Intellectual Property Department, under the Ministry of Commerce, at Office 52. Application forms and course fees (K500,000) will be accepted between 1 and 30 October. Those selected applicants will be announced on www.ipd.gov. mm on 2 November. The examination date is at 10 am on 12 November. Payment must be deposited into the IPD account MD014366 of Myanma Economic Bank, Nay Pyi Taw.
Interested individuals can download the application form via www.ipd.gov. mm and submit the completed form to ipdtraining2022@gmail.com, along with a scanned copy of the bank receipt (PDF or photo). Further course information will be sent to the email address provided in the application. Once payment is verified, the Zoom ID and password will be sent to the applicant’s email. If paying via another bank, the Myanmar Economic Bank’s service charges must be included in the transfer. Late applications will not be accepted. All required information in the application must be complete and accurate. If applications exceed the set quota, priority will be given to the next training batch. Participants must complete the full course and pass the qualifying examination. Certificates will be issued only to those who complete the full course and pass the exam. Applicants who fail to pay within the specified period will not be considered for admission. Course fees are nonrefundable whether a participant is unable to attend or withdraws during the course. The course is open to domestic applicants who wish to serve as patent agents, but not to government employees.
