The government is encouraging the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises as part of efforts to boost the industrial sector. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Industry and MSME Development provides businesspersons with monetary capital, technological assistance, human resource development and market links. Moreover, MSME product shows and market fairs are organized with the aim of enabling MSME products to penetrate into domestic and international markets, to catch the attention of customers and businesspersons, and to exchange market information and protection technology.
These shows and market fairs took place in major cities of the nation. As the government places emphasis on the development of the MSME sector, all responsible officials from factories and industries under the Ministry of Industry and MSME Development must strive to boost the production and productivity of factories through their collaborative efforts. If so, these factories will have the capabilities to stand on their own. Officials and employees must perform their duties with full responsibility and accountability to the public for the products they produce. Officials should adopt results-based management to improve production at their respective factories.
Relevant factories need to procure and stockpile raw materials and spare parts in advance to ensure that production facilities can operate at full capacity. Factories must strive to meet or exceed their annual production targets set for each financial year. When products are similar, those manufactured by their respective factories must be of higher quality. If the quality is comparable, they must be offered at more competitive prices and with better packaging. Only then can they consistently outperform their competitors in production and achieve success. To maintain such progress and ensure that their achievements are sustained and further improved, responsible officials must continuously review and assess their respective work processes. In addition, efforts must be made to integrate their production into local production chains.
They should share their technological expertise and business experience with local industrial entrepreneurs, help meet their needs, and support the development of local industries. Only then can the industrial sector develop in respective regions and contribute to the overall development of the country. To promote the development of industries, product lists should be systematically compiled and classified, such as manufactured products, export products, import-substitution products and agriculture-based products.
It is necessary to systematically calculate the higher-value products, as well as the value added at each stage of the production chain. Only then can MSMEs not only serve as a fundamental pillar of the national economy but also effectively contribute to domestic job creation, economic development and improved livelihoods.
