The development of a country largely depends on the level of discipline practised by its citizens. When citizens have a high level of discipline, the country will achieve greater development and progress. Being disciplined means carrying out all duties and responsibilities that should be performed for the motherland and avoiding actions that should not be done. The practice of discipline by citizens is, in itself, a contribution towards promoting the country’s development and progress.
When we study every successful enterprise, we can see that the people involved work together in unity under the leadership and management of the person in charge. The dedication and commitment of every worker towards their work is the foundation of success. In particular, the key factors behind the growth and success of any enterprise are the basic principles of unity, diligence and dedication in work, and good discipline.
When we study developed countries today, we can see that people living in those countries must maintain discipline in their daily lives and activities. They comply with and practice the laws and regulations issued by their respective countries. If they violate them, they face effective penalties and legal action. They work while receiving appropriate wages. As education, healthcare, social affairs, and other sectors are systematically implemented in accordance with established standards, these countries have achieved continuous development.
By following and carrying out duties in accordance with discipline, people will accomplish all good deeds throughout their life journey and gain positive outcomes. Living with awareness and mindfulness prevents negative and wrongful thoughts from entering the mind and heart, allowing only goodness and truth to prevail. As a result, the mind and heart become pure and clear, and correct understanding and perspectives regarding the world around us will emerge. Therefore, in order to maintain proper and noble attitudes and beliefs, everyone must respect, value, and consistently follow discipline.
When discipline is always respected and observed, it brings about the benefit of strengthening unity and solidarity. By following and acting in accordance with discipline, people uphold all the ethical principles and responsibilities they should maintain towards one another. They are also able to faithfully fulfil their social duties and obligations to each other. These factors represent the development of mutual unity and solidarity among people.
Therefore, as the saying goes, “Discipline leads to progress”, all citizens must continue to strive to become a disciplined people so that they can build the motherland into a peaceful, prosperous, modern, and developed nation. This is an earnest encouragement and appeal to all.
