U Myo Myint Maung, Myanmar Ambassador to Nepal, attended the Kason Full Moon Buddha Day ceremony held in Nepal on 12 May.
The ceremony is traditionally attended alternately by the President and the Prime Minister of Nepal each year. This year, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and other Nepali officials participated in the event.
At the ceremony held in Kathmandu, Myanmar Ambassador U Myo Myint Maung delivered a commemorative speech related to Buddha Day.
In Nepal, Kason Full Moon Buddha Day ceremonies are held annually at the national level in Lumbini and Kathmandu (Swayambhu).
