Swesone Media Group says Dr Khin Maung Nyo won the Literary Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 15th Thuta Swesone Literary Awarding.
The Thuta Swesone Literary Award, presented by Swesone Media Group since 2006,, is one of the prestigious literary awards, and this is the 15th award-presentation event for books published between 2018 and 2023.
For 2008, the Outstanding Doctor by Naing Zaw won reference literary award, Don’t Forget Me by Bo Aye Myint Kyu won biography award, and for 2009, the Traditions and Customs of Ethnics by Thein Tun (Myawady) won art knowledge award and for 2020, the Prize of Healthy by Dr Thein Swe(public health) won applied science award.
The Research of Ancient Myanmar Kings’ Leadership Skill (the Third Myanmar) by Kyaw Kyaw Hlaing won art knowledge award for 2021, and the Confession of the Business Spy by Nay Zin Latt won translation award, Mg Khit Tun’s Letter (Diamond Jubilee literature collection) by Mg Khit Tun won literature award and Myanmar Energy Magnate by Hein Latt won biography award for 2022.
For 2023, For a While in Nippon by Dout Htwe won the literature award, the Culture of the Angkor Period by Kyaw Nyunt Yi won the art knowledge award, and the Confession of a Surgeon by Professor Dr Mya Thein Han won the applied science award. The lifetime achievement literary award for 2023 was won by Dr Khin Maung Nyo, said the selection committee.
The prize is K3 million for the lifetime achievement literary award and K1.5 million for each book winner. The awarding ceremony has been scheduled in Yangon soon, and award winners have to contact Swesone Media Group, and phone numbers are 01 385293, 01 392739 and 01 374400.
