A high-level Myanmar delegation led by President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing left Nay Pyi Taw Airport by special aircraft yesterday morning to pay an Official Visit to Malaysia at the invitation of His Excellency Dato’ Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.
The high-level Myanmar delegation led by the President was seen off at the airport by Vice-Presidents U Nyo Saw and Nan Ni Ni Aye, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo, Union ministers, the commander of the Nay Pyi Taw Command, and officials of the Malaysian Embassy in Myanmar.
The President is accompanied by Union Ministers U Khin Maung Yi, U Tin Maung Swe, U Min Naung, U Myint Kyaing, U Maung Myint and U Tun Ohn, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Naing Oo, Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, deputy ministers and officials.
The special aircraft carrying the high-level Myanmar delegation led by the President arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia at about 12:30 pm local standard time. They were warmly welcomed by officials from the Malaysian government led by Malaysia’s Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Mr Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Myanmar Ambassador to Malaysia U Aung Kyaw Moe and his wife, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Nyi Nyi Oo and officials.
The Malaysian Guard of Honour also took positions on either side of the red carpet, saluted, and accorded an official welcome. — MNA/TTA
