The Mandalay Region Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MRCCI) signed two memoranda of understanding with the Nanning Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Nanning CCI) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Nanning) during a business delegation visit to Nanning, China.
Joint Secretary U Lin Ko Ko Aung and Auditor U Nyi Nyi Chit of MRCCI represented MRCCI and participated in the meetings and expo held in Nanning from 16 to 18 September 2026, with a view to promoting trade and economic opportunities in Mandalay Region, helping local products penetrate international markets, and strengthening cooperation between business communities in the two countries.
The delegation visited the Myanmar Economic Counsellor’s Office in Nanning on 16 September and held a meeting with leading Chinese businesspeople. Discussions highlighted MRCCI’s trade sectors, Mandalay Region’s economic and investment potential, and local products, resulting in successful business network connections.
Delegates attended the Nanning Enterprises Going Global to ASEAN Sharing and Exchange Meeting at the Guangxi Bauhinia International Hotel (Bauhinia Hall, 24th Floor) at 9 am on 17 September, thereby signing an MOU between Nanning CCI and MRCCI to facilitate the exchange of regional trade and economic information and to ease connections between businesspeople.
Next, MRCCI also signed an MOU with the CCPIT Nanning at the 23rd ChinaASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) held on 18 September at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Centre (NICEC) (Hall D105), in the presence of the Bago Region Chief Minister, government officials, and business leaders from both countries.
MRCCI has opened significant opportunities for Mandalay products and its member businesses to connect directly with the Chinese market through these agreements with two major Nanning-based business organizations. — NN/KK
