An MSME Development Meeting was held on Friday afternoon in Myeik.
Speaking at the meeting, Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo said that the regional government has consistently prioritized MSME development. He stressed that, in promoting MSME development, the quality of products is more important than price. He urged entrepreneurs to manufacture products in accordance with quality standards while paying close attention to cleanliness, consumer trust, brand building, packaging quality, and market demand.
The MSME entrepreneurs reported on the needs of their respective sectors, including increasing the production of value-added products using locally available raw materials, promoting entrepreneurship, and creating more business opportunities. Regional ministers then provided explanations according to their respective sectors.
Myeik District Shrimp Farmers Association, Fishing Entrepreneurs Association, rice entrepreneurs’ association and MSME association donated K170 million to the regional chief minister for regional development.
