MYANMAR Airways International (MAI) has announced the official launch of MAI Sky Connect, the first wireless in-flight entertainment system in Myanmar. Introduced to provide a superior travel experience for passengers, the MAI Sky Connect system has been available on all of MAI’s Airbus aircraft since 17 June.

“The introduction of this system is a significant milestone in MAI’s transformation journey. We are constantly striving to provide our passengers with a better travel experience by adhering to innovation, operational excellence, and international standards, demonstrating MAI’s commitment to delivering a customer-centric travel experience,” said Mr Tanes Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of MAI.

With this new service, passengers can enjoy their journey by accessing a wide range of movies and TV series, such as Interstellar, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Sherlock Holmes, The Lord of the Rings, Friends, The Big Bang Theory, and Gossip Girl, along with various games and music, all directly from their own smart phones, tablets, or laptops.

To use it upon boarding, passengers must first ensure their device is in Airplane Mode. Then, they should connect to the Wi-Fi named “MAISkyConnect” and scan the QR code in front of their seat. With the launch of MAI Sky Connect, the airline ensures that all passengers flying with them can now enjoy an entertaining journey.
