The Literacy and Regional Development Assistance Association will publish a commemorative magazine to honour and welcome the upcoming International Literacy Day on 8 September 2026, and is currently inviting authors to submit manuscripts for inclusion.
The magazine is accepting submissions of poems, short stories, and articles. Manuscripts must be prepared in the following format: poems should not exceed one A4 page, while short stories and articles should not exceed four A4 pages each. Manuscripts, whether computer-typed or handwritten, must be neatly presented and submitted between 15 June and 15 July 2026.
In publishing the magazine, priority will be given to manuscripts submitted by members of the Literacy and Regional Development Assistance Association, while contributions from external literary experts will be limited to invited submissions. A manuscript selection committee will systematically review all submitted manuscripts and select those to be featured in the magazine.
Interested writers may submit their manuscripts either in person or by mail to U Aung Kyi (Aung Kyi Nyunt-Tekkatho), Joint Secretary of the Myanmar Writers Association, at 173-175, Pansodan Street (Middle Block), Kyauktada Township, Yangon. For further information, interested persons may contact 09 420172113.
