THE Japan Foundation, Yangon (JFYG), in collaboration with ARRI Virtual, will host the Myanmar VTuber Exhibition on Saturday, 20 June. The event will run from 11 am to 4 pm at the JFYG Centre in Yangon.
A Virtual YouTuber, or “VTuber”, is a digital entertainer who streams content using a computer-generated, anime-inspired avatar.
Originating in Japan, this trend is closely tied to Japanese pop culture staples like anime and manga. During the exhibition, representatives from the ARRI Virtual Team alongside local Myanmar VTubers will lead in-depth knowledge-sharing sessions designed for aspiring creators eager to break into the industry.
Admission to the exhibition is completely free, though advance registration is required. Interested attendees can secure their spots by registering via the official Microsoft Forms portal. — MT/ZS
