The Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has agreed to the appointment of Mr Margulan Baimukhan as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar with residence in Bangkok.
Mr Margulan Baimukhan was born on 6 September 1974. He graduated from Cracow University of Economics in 1997 and 1998 and the University of Vancouver in Canada in 2017. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1999 and held various diplomatic capacities, including Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Poland from 2017 to 2019, to Belgium and Luxembourg, head of mission to the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) from 2021 to 2025. He also served as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan from 2019 to 2021.
He has been serving as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Thailand and Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific since August 2025.
