ACCORDING to the observations at 5:30 pm MST today, due to the strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal, due to the unstable air condition over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and due to the easterly waves, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in upper Sagaing Region and Kachin and northern Shan states and fairly widespread to widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, lower Sagaing, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine and (southern and eastern) Shan states with regionally and isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon and Rakhine states during tonight to 26 September 2025. Occasional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along the Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35-40 miles per hour. Wave height will be about 10-13 feet off and along the Myanmar Coasts.

People should be aware of natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, lightning strikes, hail, flash floods and landslides in hilly areas and near small rivers, and make necessary preparations for inland water transport, domestic flights and irrigation dams.
