BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to storng over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate is elsewhere over theBay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF 6 August 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin and Kayah states and widespread in the remaining regions and states with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Lower Sagaing Region, isolated heavy falls in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Magway and Upper Sagaing regions and Chin, Mon, Rakhine and (northern and eastern)Shan states. The degree of certainty is 100 per cent.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Bago,Magway,Sagain, Ayeyawady and TaninthayiRegions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States. In the area along the cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied by rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance of these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in the Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Tainthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 miles per hour. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in the Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in the Deltaic, off and along the Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 miles per hour. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet inthe Deltaic, off and along the Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR THE SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated heavy falls in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Mon, Rakhine and Shan states.
