Discussions were held on the resumption of bilateral maritime trade, taxation matters and consultative meetings between Myanmar and Bangladesh, according to reports.
The meeting took place at the One-Stop Building of the Chittagong Port Authority in Chittagong between Myanmar’s Ambassador to Bangladesh U Kyaw Soe Moe and Rear-Admiral S M Moniruzzaman, OSP, ndc, ncc, psc, Chairman of the Chittagong Port Authority.
During the meeting, views were cordially exchanged on bilateral maritime trade, taxation issues concerning the transport of products between the two countries, and the resumption of suspended consultative meetings between the two countries. Afterward, commemorative gifts were exchanged between the two sides, according to reports.
Additionally, following the discussions, Ambassador U Kyaw Soe Moe visited Chittagong Port and observed its operations. —
