THE Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) has distributed more than 26,000 litres of drinking water to more than 1,000 flood-hit people in Laymyethna Township, Ayeyawady Region, continuing to provide water to areas in need.
The Water and Environmental Sanitation Team of the MRCS Health Department has been providing drinking water to residents of Wards 1, 2 and 3 and Sitgon Village in Laymyethna Township.
As of 9 September, more than 26,000 litres of drinking water and 40 collapsible water containers had been distributed to more than 1,000 flood-affected people. The MRCS will continue distributing drinking water to other wards and villages in need.
