SECURITY forces successfully prevented an attack by PDFs, who attempted to target TadaU International Airport in Mandalay Region with six FPV suicide drones yesterday. Security forces responsible for aviation security detected the drones and successfully intercepted them using counter-drone measures. Security forces subsequently carried out controlled procedures to disable the explosives carried by the drones, ensuring public safety.
The attack temporarily disrupted some domestic flights. However, no casualties or damage to vehicles or airport runways were reported. Attacks targeting airports and other infrastructure could endanger public safety and disrupt transportation and the flow of goods. The people condemned the attack, describing it as a serious violation of international law and the Geneva Conventions.
