POLICE units across Yangon Region, together with traffic police, local administrative authorities and joint teams, are conducting vehicle inspections, guest-list checks, crime-prevention awareness activities and campaigns encouraging pedestrians to use designated crossings.
In this regard, police teams from Botahtaung, Kungyangon, Kamayut and Bahan townships conducted awareness sessions yesterday morning on the implementation of the community policing system, carried out doorto-door crime-prevention awareness activities, and distributed pamphlets encouraging pedestrians to use zebra crossings.
On the night of 27 August, police teams from Dagon Myothit (North), Kyimyindine, North Okkalapa, Thingangyun and Shwepyitha townships, along with police units from Phaunggyi, conducted vehicle checks, inspected patrol and checkpoint operations, and carried out inspections of entertainment venues and household guest-registration records.
