two-unit, reinforced concrete (RC), one-storey staff housing building owned by the Department of Cooperatives in Tiddim Township, which was partially damaged due to terrorist incidents, is being renovated and reconstructed with funds from the National Disaster Management Committee, according to reports.

Deputy Minister for Border Affairs Maj-Gen Kyaw Swa Oo, accompanied by officials, inspected the ongoing renovation and reconstruction works.

He also attended a meeting at the Township General Administration Department. At the event, he said that regional development activities could only be carried out when there was stability and peace. He urged town elders, departmental personnel and residents in Tiddim Township to work together for stability and peace. The deputy minister then presented food supplies and consumer goods to civil servants serving in Tiddim Township.
