THE Department of Rural Development of Kyaiklat Township, under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, disbursed the 9th revolving fund loan for the Mya Sein Yaung Village Project in Htinkwin Village, on 4 August. The project was initially launched in the village during the 2018-2019 financial year.
U Thura Shein, Township Head of the Kyaiklat Township Rural Development Department, gave a detailed presentation on the objectives and processes of the Mya Sein Yaung Village Project, relevant details of the Rural Development Law, and how job opportunities and family income-generating activities supported by these loans contribute to poverty reduction.
Daw Wah Wah Tun, Staff Officer of the Kyaiklat Township Rural Development Department, along with project officials, transferred project funds worth K44.5 million to the members of the Htinkwin Emerald Green Village Project working group.
Afterwards, the project supervisory committee disbursed a total fund of K44.5 million to 118 members as follows: Agriculture: K32.85 million to 82 members; Livestock Breeding: K1.45 million to five members; Fisheries: K2.15 million to six members; and Trading/Commerce: K8.05 million to 25 members.
