Security forces conducting operations to maintain regional stability and public safety have seized terrorist camps and large quantities of weapons and related equipment in Magway Region, according to official reports.
On 20 June, troops operating in Yenangyoung Township discovered several terrorist locations in and around nearby villages. At a site in Lunpinsho Village, they recovered items including a motorcycle, camouflage uniforms, solar panels, a battery system, ammunition, communication equipment, and identification badges linked to terrorist groups.
Later the same day, security forces uncovered a temporary camp near Nyaungpinkar Village, where they seized tents and multiple handmade landmines. In a separate operation near Kantha Village, troops found a larger camp containing over 100 handmade grenades, explosive materials, protective gear, radios, and other military-style equipment.
Earlier, on 7 June, a clash in Natmauk Township led to the recovery of a sniper rifle and 1,200 rounds of ammunition after an engagement with insurgents near Aingma Village.
Authorities said such operations are part of ongoing efforts to counter armed groups accused of intimidation, violence, and disruption of local communities, and reaffirmed continued action to support peace and stability in the region.
