PDF terrorists commit destructive actions at educational buildings and schools, and murder and threaten the teachers.
On 1 June, the PDF terrorists threatened Daw Than Nyunt, aged 61, Junior Assistant Teacher of Wetchoke BEHS (branch) in Wetchoke village of Natmauk Township of Magway Region, to join the Disloyalty Civil Servant (DCS) while she was together with her husband, U Thaung Khin, aged 59, at her house. Meanwhile, she refused their proposal by saying she is serving her duties for the future of the students. Then, the couple was abducted to about two miles from her village and brutally killed.
From 1 February 2021 to 1 June 2025, terrorist groups murdered 79 educational staff, while there were 35 injuries.
Civilians strongly condemned terrorist attacks against teachers, and security forces carried out security measures promptly.
