Under the supervision of the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee, efforts to combat the illicit trade are continued effectively under the law.

On 22, 23 and 25 May, the combined teams impounded six unregistered vehicles (estimated value of K40 million) in Pazundaung, Dagon Myothit (South), Dagon Myothit (Seikkan), North Okkalapa, Hmawby and Dala Townships, 1.65 tonnes of illegal teak, 5.162 tonnes of hardwood and 0.792 tonne of other timbers (worth K5.07 million) in Bago and Toungoo districts, three trucks (estimated value of K140 million) carrying consumer goods and industrial goods without official documents (worth K40.165 million) near Nyaungkhashay x-ray station. The action was conducted under the Export-Import Law, the Forest Law and Customs procedures.

Additionally, on 24 May, the combined on-duty teams seized a Yutong bus (worth approximately K65 million) carrying industrial goods, foodstuffs and consumer goods without official documents (worth K108.96 million) at the Myitnge checkpoint, consumer goods (worth K49.8 million) from a warehouse in Kawthoung and three unregistered motorbikes (worth K1.55 million) in Hinthada, Myaungmya and Maubin Townships. The action was taken under the Export-Import Law and Customs procedures.

On 25 May, two industrial goods without official documents (valued at K17.5 million) were captured in Pauktaw Township, and the action was taken under the Export-Import Law.

The Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee reported 22 arrests on four consecutive days from 22 to 25 May, confiscating illegal goods worth approximately K468 million.
