According to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, 88 Myanmar students are currently studying at the Ruili Vocational High School, located in Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China.

At present, the Ruili Vocational High School maintains regular cooperation with educational institutions in Myanmar, including the GESC Chinese Language School in Yangon. This year, as a result of the China-Myanmar educational collaboration, 36 Myanmar students have successfully gained admission to the school.

Under the China-Myanmar Educational Cooperation Programme, students from Yangon are receiving education at the Ruili Vocational High School. Among the successful applicants this year is Ma Su Nwe Ni from Yangon.

“I have loved drawing since childhood. When I found out I had the opportunity to study in China, I chose the three-year garment-making course, hoping to fulfil my dream of becoming a fashion designer. Apart from learning theoretical subjects at school, I am also gaining practical experience at a garment manufacturing industrial park near the school. In the future, I aim to combine traditional Myanmar weaving techniques with advanced Chinese production skills to create high-quality fabrics,” said Ma Su Nwe Ni.
