DEPUTY Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Than Swe received Mr Harishchandra Ghimire, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of Myanmar expressed his appreciation to Nepal for providing humanitarian assistance and sending a medical team to Myanmar in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake. Both sides discussed working closely in the rescue and relief efforts of the victims of the earthquake They exchanged views on ways to further strengthen bilateral ties, including fostering closer economic cooperation and promoting trade and investment between the two countries. — MNA
