ACCORDING to the observations at 5:30 pm MST today, the low-pressure area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move north-northeastwards and weaken gradually over central Bay of Bengal during next 12 hours.
Due to the low-pressure area, rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyawady, and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, and Shan States from tonight to 11 April 2025. Rain or thundershowers are likely to be fairly widespread to widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyawady, and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, and Shan States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls during 12 to 18 April 2025.
