Malicious news media have been spreading false reports claiming that security forces set fire to Kyauksauk Village on 19 February while conducting territorial security operations in Myine Township, Magway Region.
According to a responsible security officer, security forces were deployed near Kyauksauk Village on that day as part of their security operations. However, there were no incidents of fire or destruction. Subversive news media fabricated these stories to mislead the public, falsely accusing security forces of burning houses, seizing civilian property, and arresting or killing innocent people.
