AUTHORITIES have arrested two alleged sales agents involved in selling illegal Nway Oo Hti (lottery) tickets through a website operated by (NUG) terroists.
The NUG terroists had been operating the illegal Nway Oo Hti website since around August 2021, using sales proceeds to finance its activities and provide support to its affiliated groups.
The two suspects were identified as Nanda Hlaing from Dagon Myothit (North) Township, Yangon Region, and Hsu Myat Wai (aka) Lay Paung, from Danubyu Township, Ayeyawady Region.
Both were members of the PRF support network and had served as lottery sales agents. Nandar Hlaing has been involved since February 2024 and transferred lottery prizes through SDB accounts, while Su Myat Wai had been selling tickets since June 2025 and transferring the money to affiliated groups.
These two suspects will face legal action under the Counter-Terrorism Law. Investigations are continuing to identify and arrest other individuals involved in the illegal lottery operation. — MNA/KTZH
