The Ministry of Culture, Hotels and Tourism has extended the visa-on-arrival facility for tourists from China, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea and the Macao Special Administrative Region of China travelling to Myanmar by air for a further year on a trial basis.
The visa-on-arrival facility for tourists from China and India travelling to Myanmar by air has also been extended for the third time for a one-year trial period. The extension will be valid from 30 August 2026 to 29 August 2027.
Similarly, the visa-on-arrival facility for tourists from Japan, the Republic of Korea and the Macao Special Administrative Region has been extended for the second time for a one-year trial period, from 21 October 2026 to 20 October 2027. — TWA/MKKS
