Rehabilitation and regional development work in flood-hit Laymyethna Township, Ayeyawady Region, is being carried out under the management of the regional government.
As rehabilitation and development work continues in Laymyethna Township, the Ayeyawady Region Government yesterday provided offering baskets, dried noodles, solar lights, rice and canned fish to the Charity Sayadaw on behalf of the Chief Minister. Sayadaws and residents from Dedaye Township donated cash to support the rehabilitation of households affected by flooding in Laymyethna Township.
Officials are assisting residents in returning to Yephyu Village in Chingon Village-tract, Laymyethna Township. Farmers in Laymyethna Township who replant winter crops, such as winter beans and peas, on farmland damaged by the 2026 monsoon floods will receive eight viss of winter beans per acre. The State will also provide 2.5 gallons of diesel per acre to farmers in Aingthabyu and Letkarein village-tracts to enable them to resume growing winter beans, green beans and peas on flooded farmland in Laymyethna Township.
The assistance will be provided at the Htun Thit Sa fuel filling station in Aingthabyu Village-tract. Diesel will be supplied to the remaining village tracts in due course, depending on the availability of the allocated fuel quota. — Township IPRD/MKKS
