A 12-member Myanmar team led by Myanmar Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation President U Cho Htun Aung left Yangon International Airport yesterday morning to compete in the 58th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships 2026, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 22 to 28 September.
The team comprises officials, coaches, judges and six athletes: Aung Htut (60 kilogrammes), Hein Zaw Lin (65 kilogrammes), Wai Lin Kyaw (Men’s Athletic), Nay Htut (Men’s Sport Physique), Me Me Kyaw Naing (Women’s Model Physique and Swimsuit) and Moe Thet Khaing (Women’s Athletic Physique and Wellness).
U Kyo Htun Aung, who is also Secretary of the Yangon City Development Committee, heads the team, while Federation Vice-President U Kyaw Than serves as team manager.
