The Bago Region pavilion successfully won two prestigious awards – the best exhibition organizer award and the best national pavilion award – at the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo 2026 (CAEXPO 2026), held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the People’s Republic of China, from 17 to 21 September.
During the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo 2026, Bago, the capital city of Bago Region, was featured and introduced under the “City of Charm” programme; young women from Bago Region performed Pyu cultural dances, free-style poem dances, traditional Myanmar Thingyan water festival dances, and Myanmar Thanaka cultural dances.
Additionally, to secure broader markets in China and ASEAN member countries for Bago Region’s agricultural products, promote regional tourism, and attract foreign investment to increase the production of value-added goods, Bago Region set up 10 local product exhibition booths alongside 71 booths from other states and regions, totalling 81 booths, successfully establishing connections to secure overseas markets, as reported. — ASH/TH
