IN alignment with its foreign policy of fostering friendly diplomatic relations with all nations, the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar deported US citizen Adam Michael Castillo, passport number 565448449, from Nay Pyi Taw International Airport on the evening of 16 September 2026.
Adam Michael Castillo was found to have violated the restrictive provisions outlined in the constitution of the American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar. As a result, he was charged under Section 409 of the Penal Code at Pabedan Police Station, under First Information Report (FIR) No (Pa) 69/2026 on 8 June 2026. His deportation was carried out in accordance with established rules and procedures, with the primary goal of maintaining friendly bilateral relations between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the United States of America.
