A Myanmar delegation led by U Soe Thein, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission, attended the 11th Eastern Economic Forum and related meetings held in Vladivostok, the Russian Federation, from 1 to 4 September.
On 2 September, the Myanmar delegation met a delegation led by the Prosecutor-General of the Russian Federation and signed the Anti-Corruption Cooperation Programme for 2027-2028.
The signing event aims to strengthen cooperation between Myanmar and Russia through staff training, experience and technical exchanges, contributing to stronger friendship, mutual trust and capacity building between the two countries.
At noon, U Soe Thein attended a working luncheon hosted by Russian Prosecutor-General Mr AV Gutsan.
On 3 September, he also participated in a related session organized by the Prosecutor- General’s Office of the Russian Federation, titled “Reducing Economic Risks as a Foundation for National Economic Development”. He then attended the plenary session of the 11th Eastern Economic Forum on “Promoting Economic Development for People in the Far East Economic Region”. — MNA/KTZH
