UNION Minister for Electricity and Energy U Ko Ko Lwin, who is accompanying the Myanmar delegation as a member during its visit to Vladivostok, Russian Federation, to attend the 11th Eastern Economic Forum, held discussion with Mr Samat Satvoldinov, Secretary-General of the Russia-ASEAN Business Council, at a building on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University at 1 pm local standard time yesterday.

They openly exchanged views on the selection of Myanmar, which occupies a strategic position in economic cooperation between ASEAN and Russia, as a country for continued cooperation, enhancing technical cooperation between Russia and Myanmar in electric power and energy matters, promoting the development of high-tech robotic and digital technology-based industries in the industrial sector, further expanding cooperation in digital technology-based banking, education and healthcare services, e-commerce and tourism, and making investments in socioeconomic sectors.

Also present at the meeting were Deputy Minister for Digital Development and Communications U Min Zayar Hlaing, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Ko Ko Kyaw, Myanmar Ambassador to Russia U Myo Moe Aung and other relevant officials. After the meeting, the Union minister gave an interview to Radio Sputnik of the Russian Federation.
