AS part of the Myanmar delegation attending the 11th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russian Federation, Deputy Minister for Digital Development and Communications U Min Zayar Hlaing attended the Russia-ASEAN Business Dialogue at the Russian Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok at 10 am local standard time yesterday.

The Business Dialogue, chaired by Mr Sergey Katyrin, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, discussed the current state of Russia-ASEAN economic cooperation and plans to strengthen it further. Representatives from Russia and ASEAN member states took part in the discussions. Deputy Minister U Min Zayar Hlaing outlined Myanmar’s efforts to advance its digital transformation, including the development of digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, smart-city infrastructure, digital government and people-centred digital services.

He also highlighted cooperation with Russia in technology, human resource development and innovation, as well as plans to establish Myanmar’s first Cyber City in the central part of the country.

He invited Russia and ASEAN countries to invest in Myanmar. The Business Dialogue was attended by Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Myo Moe Aung and other officials, along with representatives from Russia and ASEAN member states.
