MANDALAY Region and Yangon Region have reached the men’s four-player team final of the 2026 Inter-Region and State Sepak Takraw Championship, while Ayeyawady Region and Mon State have advanced to the women’s final.
In the men’s semifinals, Mandalay defeated Kachin State 2-0, while Yangon beat Bago Region 2-1. Bago then defeated Kachin 2-1 in the third-place match.
In the women’s semifinals, Ayeyawady defeated Yangon 2-1, while Mon State beat Sagaing Region 2-0. Yangon secured third place with a 2-0 victory over Sagaing.
The women’s final between Ayeyawady and Mon State will be held at 2 pm on 2 September, followed by the men’s final between Mandalay and Yangon at 3 pm at Wunna Theikdhi Gymnasium A in Nay Pyi Taw.
The finals and prize-giving ceremony will be broadcast live on MRTV-4 HD, MRTV Sports Channel and MRTV Entertainment. Admission is free. — MNA/KZL
