THE Department of Rural Development, under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, held a ceremony to disburse revolving funds under the Mya Sein Yaung (Emerald Green) Village Project in Aungmyay Seesar Village, Mongyang Township, yesterday.
Mongyang Township Department of Rural Development Head Daw Aye Moe Khine explained that the revolving funds were provided under the Mya Sein Yaung Village Project with the objectives of creating employment opportunities and increasing family incomes for rural residents, as well as implementing village development activities with the increased revolving funds.
Officials explained project activities, interest rates, repayment periods and rules and regulations to be followed, and handed over K30.3 million in revolving funds to members of the project implementation group. Aungmyay Seesar Village is implementing family income-generating activities using K30.3 million from the Mya Sein Yaung Village Project. Under the supervision of the township head, members of the project implementation group disbursed revolving loans at a low interest rate to 24 members from the village engaged in systematic agricultural, livestock breeding and trading activities.
