Shan State Chief Minister U Sai Htein Soe and his wife, accompanied by state ministers, the state advocate-general and officials, released 207,000 fingerlings into the natural waters of Inlay Lake in Nyaungshwe on 11 July.

The chief minister inspected weed removal activities in the lake carried out by the Nyaungshwe Township Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department to preserve the cleanliness and beauty of Inlay Lake. He also visited Heya Ywama Village, where local MSME products from the Inlay region of southern Shan State are produced and sold. — Maung Maung Than (Taunggyi)/MKKS
