AFTER the end of Thadingyut, the number of domestic tourists to Hpa-an has continued to increase without any decrease, and it is likely to increase during the Tazaungdine festival, according to the locals.
People from Yangon, Mandalay and nearby areas arrived at the place, and most of them visited Mount Taungwyine, Mount Kya-inn, Mount Zwekabin, Kawgun cave, Lonnya Blue Lake, Naunglon Valley, Kanthaya, Hpaan Strand Road night bazaar.
“There are many domestic tourists. They come from Yangon, Mandalay, and nearby areas. It was more crowded on weekends. These days, it rains in the evening, and if it rains in the evening, the cloud sea is so beautiful in the morning. Right now, there are many climbers on Mount Taungwyine, Mount Kyainn, and Mount Zwekabin. It seems that there will be many visitors too in Tazaungdine,” said a Hpaan local.
During the Thadingyut holidays, there were many domestic tourists, so the guest houses, hotels and motels were full. There are more trips made by friends and young lovers than by families. Most of the tourists enjoyed the beauty of Hpa-an, which had cloud seas and snow and mist during the transition to the fall, he said.
Due to the large number of tourists, there will be more income-generating opportunities for locals in Hpa-an.
