AUTHORITIES have demolished another illegal seven-storey residential building in the Shwe Kokko area that was reportedly used for online fraud and illegal gambling activities.
A joint task force comprising relevant departments is continuing the systematic demolition of illegal structures linked to online scam operations in the KK Park and Shwe Kokko areas of Myawady Township, Kayin State.
Officials said the demolition is part of ongoing efforts to remove 77 identified buildings used for such activities. Of these, 57 are being demolished using heavy machinery, while the remaining 20 are being brought down through controlled explosions.
With the latest demolition, a total of 65 buildings have now been dismantled, while 12 remain pending further action. — MNA/ MKKS
