REHABILITATION and reconstruction work is underway in Chin State. Yesterday morning, joint teams carried out cleaning activities at the offices of district and township departments in Falam Township and their surrounding areas.

Deputy Minister for Construction Dr Thaung Naing inspected cleaning activities inside and outside a six-room, two-storey building designated for use as a temporary hospital in Falam Township, Chin State. He also inspected the cleaning of departmental offices and staff housing along the road, the Township Highways Department office, the Falam District and Township Police Station, the Township Urban and Housing Development Department office, the District Highways Department office and Taungzalap Housing.

He also inspected the systematic removal and arrangement of materials and the planting of greenery around the housing area. He gave instructions to ensure that the work was carried out in compliance with the town’s established design and character.

Meanwhile, Chin State Minister for Electricity, Energy, Industry and Transport U Nay Lin Aung and members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee inspected rehabilitation work in Falam Township. The sites visited included the Falam District Fisheries Department office building and staff housing, the Falam Township Fire Brigade station and staff housing, the District Traditional Medicine Department office building, and the District and Township Election Subcommission buildings.

The Chin State minister and his delegation instructed officials to complete the work within the specified timeframe, improve the quality of materials and workmanship, and ensure that all activities were carried out systematically. The Minister also observed a fire drill conducted by the Falam District Fire Services Department to prepare for potential fire incidents. — District IPRD/MKKS
