FRONTLINE soldiers returning after carrying out security and operational duties in the Pruhso-Bawlakhe-Pasawng areas were warmly welcomed at a ceremony held yesterday afternoon at a local battalion in Pruhso Township, Kayah State.
The event honoured servicemen described as “victorious frontline returnees” who had served in operations aimed at maintaining national stability, territorial security, and local peace in the region. The welcoming ceremony was attended by military officers, soldiers and their families, local officials, teachers, students, and ethnic cultural troupes.
Attendees greeted the returning troops with traditional Myanmar symbols of honour such as Aungthabyay (Eugenia sprig) branches and flower garlands, along with traditional music, dance, and performances. The celebration highlighted appreciation for their service in ensuring safety, stability, and the protection of local livelihoods and property. — MNA/KZL
