A collision between two passenger buses occurred on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway on 22 June.
At around 3 am on 22 June, near milepost 117/7 on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, a Shwe Mandalar Express bus crashed into the back of a Yadana Phyo Express bus. The accident resulted in the injuries of a novice and three men, while three other men died on the spot.
A fire engine and crew from the 115th-mile fire station immediately rushed to the scene of the collision to carry out emergency rescue operations.
The injured victims and the bodies of the deceased were transported by ambulance to Pyu Township People’s Hospital. — TWA/MKKS
