A special appeal tribunal consisting of U Tha Htay, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Union and Judges of the Supreme Court of the Union: Daw Thin Thin Nwet, U Win Myint, Daw Soe Khet Khet and Daw Thin Thin Cho was convened yesterday morning at the Supreme Court of the Union in Nay Pyi Taw and passed judgements for a total of five special appeal cases: two special criminal cases – Nos: 2/2026 (Mandalay), 5/2026 (Shan), and three special civil appeal cases – Nos 12/2026 (Yangon), 1/2026 (Sagaing) and 11/2026 (Sagaing).
In addition, two special criminal appeal cases – Nos: 3/2026 (Shan) and 4/2026 (Yangon), and three special civil appeal cases – 9/2026 (Taninthayi), 16/2026 (Bago) and 17/2026 (Shan) were heard.
