A combined departmental task force is systematically demolishing illegal buildings and destroying equipment used for online scam and gambling operations in the Shwe Kokko and KK Park areas of Myawady Township, Kayin State. Four more illegal three-storey residential buildings were demolished yesterday.
A total of 77 buildings in the Shwe Kokko area used for online fraud and gambling have been targeted for demolition, comprising 57 structures to be torn down using heavy machinery and 20 structures to be demolished by controlled explosions.
Following yesterday’s systematic demolition of four three-storey residential buildings using heavy machinery, a total of 56 illegal buildings have now been demolished. Authorities will continue the systematic demolition of the remaining 21 illegal buildings. — MNA/KZL
