Authorities have demolished four illegal three-storey residential buildings in the Shwe Kokko area in Myawady Township, Kayin State, as part of ongoing efforts against infrastructure linked to online scam and illegal gambling activities.
Joint departmental teams continue systematic demolition work on unlawful structures and related equipment in the Shwe Kokko and KK Park areas.
Officials said a total of 77 buildings had been identified for removal. Of these, 57 are scheduled for demolition using heavy machinery, while 20 are designated for controlled demolition methods.
The four buildings demolished on Wednesday were part of the 57 structures set for mechanical removal. With the latest action, a total of 52 illegal buildings have now been demolished.
Authorities said 25 structures remain to be dismantled, and demolition work will continue in a systematic manner until all identified buildings are cleared.
