BAY INFERENCE:

Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. The weather is partly cloudy over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON ON 8 June 2026:

Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway and upper Sagaing regions and Kachin and Kayah states and widespread in the remaining regions and states with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine and Shan states. The degree of certainty is 100 per cent.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD:

The cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions and Kayah, Chin, Rakhine and Shan states. The area along the cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hails may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance of these phenomena.

THE STATE OF THE SEA:

The squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along the Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 miles per hour. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along the Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:

Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine and eastern Shan states.
